Pursuant to Federal Decree-Law No. (8) of 2017 on Value Added Tax, companies registered in Sharjah Media City (Shams) will be required to register for VAT. Shams will be offering VAT registration services for its clients. Shams will also be levying 5% VAT on certain products and services.
